Hello everyone. We have found a Hotel in Nashville  that will fit all     our needs. It is 8 miles out of town with shuttles and busses to take us around. Plus parking is free where downtown it can be 10 to 20 dollars a day.  They have a shuttle to and from the airport but I think it might cost some.

They also have busses that we can take tours around the area. We are lucky enough to have a new member Ron Hooper and his wife  Gail. They have done all the feet work and phone calls.

What you need to do is confirm your reservations EARLY. I am told it is very popular place for wedding and other events. So if you don't confirm early enough you might be staying in a Motel 6 or a room Michael Jackson once used. I for one don't have that kind of money. Click on the 2010 Reunion link to the left and it will tell you more about the hotel and some of the points of interest close and further away from the hotel.

What I am hoping for is we all arrive Sept 09, 2010 Thursday Afternoon or evening. We will meet again in the hospitality room which is attached to my room. We can bring our own refreshments and use the hospitality room for any other purpose also. In stead of pizzas again we can have room service sent up from Apple Bee's from the hotel.

Friday I am thinking we will take a morning tour together and then have lunch some where down town. If you want return to the hotel or you can continue sight seeing. The bus makes a hourly stop outside the Wildhorse Saloon. Then in the early evening we will go to the grand old opera for a show there.

Saturday we could spilt up and the ladies can go to the Opry Mills a 1.2 Million square foot entertainment, shopping and dinning destination featuring more than 200 irresistible place to shop, eat and play?  Then there is some French place called Relache Spa, Salon Center. You can relax in the opulent 27000 square foot facility, featuring indoor and outdoor pools. 12 enchanting treatment rooms and a state of the art fitness center. (not that any of our ladies need to use a fitness center)

What will the men be doing . If there is any golfers they might be on the Gaylord Springs PGA course. Or Visiting some dear ole friends from the Jack Daniels Distillery or taking in the sights and sounds at the Wild-horse Saloon for lunch. Then you can continue on or take the bus back to the hotel. That evening we will take a bus to the General Jackson River Paddle Wheel Boat. There will be music entertainment a dinner served and then a show will be preformed on board. We return back to port grab our bus and come back to the hotel.

One other thing give it some thought of were we want to do this in 2012. It will make planning so much easier.

The Hotel has informed me that if you want we can get there 3 days earlier and stay 3 days after the reunion at the same special price. They will still help us find transportation and make arrangements for other tours. That can be individual or as a group.

Any ways check out the site and remember these rooms will be going fast. The reservation period will end the first week of August. We usually have 25 members or 15 rooms. We are hoping for 25 rooms to lock in this great rate. Other hotels go for 2 and 3 times these prices. So Please Act Fast.
